Aadhaar Center: Nearly 90% of the country's population holds an Aadhaar card. These days, it's required for almost every government or private business. However, sometimes people find that their information is incorrectly entered or not updated. Some updates can be made online.
For example, mobile number or email, many changes like name, address, or date of birth require a visit to an Aadhaar Center. People often don't know which Aadhaar Center is near their home. If you don't know, don't worry. You can find out which Aadhaar Center is near your home using these simple steps.
How to find your nearest Aadhaar Center?
If you need to correct your Aadhaar card information, you need to visit an Aadhaar Center. And you don't know which one is near your home. The easiest way to find out is to use the UIDAI's official website or mobile app. Go to the website and enter your state and city in the Locate Enrolment/Update Center section.
You also have the option to enter your PIN code. After entering your PIN code, you will see a complete list of all the nearest Aadhaar centers in your area. This includes the center's name, address, mobile number, and operating hours. This way, you can easily find the Aadhaar center closest to your home.
Keep these things in mind when visiting the Aadhaar center
Before going to the Aadhaar center, it's important to have all your documents ready. To change your name, date of birth, or address, bring proof documents such as your voter ID, ration card, passport, bank statement, or electricity bill. At the center, fill out the form and select the update option.
Provide the update information to the operator and complete the biometric verification. You will then be given an acknowledgment slip containing the Update Request Number (URN). You can track the status of your update online using this number. Normally, updates are completed within 7 to 10 days.
