This year, Vijayadashami will be celebrated on October 2, 2025. Goddess Aparajita and weapon worship hold special significance on this day. However, this year, two significant coincidences will occur on Dussehra, making the day exceptionally special. Astrologer Pandit Shatrughan Jha explains that this year, the weapon worship of Dussehra will be performed during two auspicious yogas. He explained that during the weapon worship, a combination of Sukarma Yoga and Ravi Yoga will occur.

Sukarma Yoga will be in effect from morning until 11:29 pm on October 2nd. Following this, Dhriti Yoga will begin on the same day. He added that Ravi Yoga will be in effect throughout the day. Additionally, Shravan Nakshatra will prevail from 9:13 am until the entire night, making the day even more special.
Lord Shri Ram should be worshipped on this day.
Astrologer Pandit Shatrughan Jha stated that on Vijayadashami or Dussehra, one should worship Lord Shri Ram, Goddess Durga, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Hanuman. He added that the Ramayana, Sunderkand, and Shri Ram Raksha Stotra should be recited on Vijayadashami. He explained that the Ramayana holds special significance on this day. Furthermore, the tradition of worshipping weapons on Dussehra dates back to ancient times.
It is believed that worshipping weapons on this day brings courage, strength, and victory. Furthermore, activities such as initiating children into the alphabet, starting a new business, and sowing seeds for new crops on Vijayadashami are considered highly auspicious. It is believed that any work undertaken on this day is sure to be successful.
Dussehra is considered a very special day.
It is noteworthy that the festival of Dussehra symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. On this day, Lord Shri Ram established righteousness and justice by killing Ravana, the king of Lanka. To free the people from Ravana's tyranny and arrogance, Lord Vishnu incarnated as Rama and brought him to his end. This is why Dussehra is considered a symbol of the victory of Lord Rama, the embodiment of dignity.

This day is also associated with the memory of Goddess Durga's slaying of Mahishasura. This is why Vijayadashami is called the day of the triumph of power and righteousness and is celebrated with great pomp and show across the country.
