US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met after nearly six years. They met on Thursday (October 30) in Busan, South Korea. Important news emerged following the meeting: Trump has reduced tariffs on China. He stated that several issues were discussed with China. An update on the trade deal will be available soon. The US has reduced tariffs on China by 10 percent.

 

"As you know, I had imposed a 20 percent tariff on China because of fentanyl, but after listening to them, I have reduced it by 10 percent, and it will be effective immediately ," Donald Trump said, according to an ANI report.

Donald Trump to visit China

Trump stated that several important decisions had been made. He announced a reduction in tariffs on China from 57 percent to 47 percent. He also stated that he would visit China in April and sign a trade deal soon. Xi Jinping would then visit the United States.

China to immediately begin soybean purchases

The meeting between Trump and Xi Jinping marks the end of the ongoing tension between the US and China. Trump announced after the meeting that China will begin purchasing American soybeans effective immediately.
