It stars The Boys actor Jack Quaid as Nate, a regular man who cannot feel pain.
When his crush Sherry (played by Amber Midthunder) is kidnapped by a group of bank robbers, Nate uses his hidden strength to rescue her.
Behind the scenes, film producer Lars Jacobson serves as the screenwriter, with Dan Berk and Robert Olsen as directors.

Although the drama features a simple premise, it was an instant hit with moviegoers.
The R-rated thriller currently boasts an impressive 80% score from Rotten Tomatoes critics, with audiences rating it an even more generous 84%.
The critics' consensus reads: "Getting an adrenaline shot from Jack Quaid and Amber Midthunder's considerable charm while finding increasingly demented ways to utilize its concept, Novocaine is the opposite of a pain to watch."
Meanwhile, one viewer shared a glowing review: "Fun as hell, nonstop action thrill ride. Jack Quaid is always a delight to watch. Creative fight scenes that add a tangibility to the brutal action."
A second fan echoed the praise, penning: "Novocaine is grisly but fun, intense but sweet, and preposterously entertaining."
And a third said: "Novocaine has some of the most disturbing and gruesome things you'll ever see on the big screen but it was a heck of a good time. Jack Quaid was great and the movie was filled with some intense, adrenaline inducing action sequences."
Yet another viewer gushed: "Excellent action and fight scenes, combined with great pacing and comedic timing, had my eyes glued to the TV for every second. Jack Quaid plays his character to near perfection."
Quaid is no stranger to the action-comedy genre, having played Hughie Campbell in Prime Video's The Boys since 2019.
Fans of his role in the hit series will likely enjoy the 33-year-old's acclaimed performance in Novocaine.
Novocaine will be available to stream on Paramount Plus from Thursday, September 25.
