Dick and Angel Strawbridge sparked a frenzy amongst their followers as they teased exciting things ahead. The couple has continued to keep fans updated on their life in France, even after Escape to the Chateau came to an end in 2022. Now, the pair have revealed that a fresh Chateau update is "coming soon", following their recent return from a work trip in Cannes.

Taking to Instagram, the TV stars could be seen sporting vibrant outfits as they stood in front of a marina in the French Riviera. They added the caption: "Hello to you from a very sunny South of France... This week we nipped down to Cannes for a very exciting work trip. Watch this space for a very special Chateau update...coming soon!" Fans went wild over the update as they flocked to the comments to express their excitement. "Escape to the Chateau: THE MOVIE," speculated one fan as another said: "I'm very excited about what's coming."

"Both looking gorgeous! Can't wait for the update," added a third as fourth shared: "Excited to see some new content."

Another echoed: "Can't wait!! We've missed you!"

Last month, Dick and Angel opened up about their family life and the ongoing renovation efforts at their beloved French château.

The couple, who documented their transformation on the hit Channel 4 programme, admitted that they "won't be finished for a long time" as their renovation journey continues.

Dick said: "We still have bright ideas every day, and we won't be finished for a long time, you know, because we've got projects going on over here. The place has changed a lot, and it's interesting when we walk around and show people. The last time people saw this [the chateau] was when we did our farewell. "Our big sort of party to end the filming of Escape to the Chateau."

The pair tied the knot at their home in 2015 and share two children; Arthur, 12, and 11-year-old Dorothy. Dick and Angel explained that stepping away from the cameras was "the right thing to do" to prioritise their children's well-being and support them through the transition to senior school, adding that "it was time to walk away".

When addressing Escape to the Chateau and the possibility of a return to television, Dick and Angel remained open-minded but suggested that, for now, their focus is firmly on family life and their ongoing projects in France.

He clarified: "Back in 2022, we had a huge conversation saying, 'Before they get all the pressures that young people have in their lives on them, it was time for us to walk away from the Escape.'

"That's why we did it. We told everybody at the beginning of 2022 that's why I had the big party at the end of 2022, because it was so important for Arthur and Dorothy to do the transition into senior school with all the pressure they."
