The Ryder Cup is just around the corner, and golf fans will be eager to see if Team Europe or Team USA lift this year's prestigious title. The famed team tournament kicks off at Bethpage Black in New York on Friday, September 26.
As a result, players from around the globe have jetted into the US to get settled and put the final touches on their strategy for the tournament. Many have been joined by their respective partners in a show of support, who will be eager to see their loved ones triumph on the greens and fairways. But who has Team Europe brought with them to cheer them on every step of the way? And what do we know about them? Here, the Express breaks it down...
Luke Donald and Diane AntonopoulosTeam Europe captain, Luke Donald, is accompanied by Diane Antonopoulos, whom he first met during his university years at Northwestern University in Illinois. The couple tied the knot in June 2007 in Santorini, Greece, and have three daughters together.
While she won't be driving off the tees and putting on the greens this weekend, Antonopoulos has also been heavily involved in Team Europe's tournament preparations. For instance, she has organised a number of events related to the competition, and even revealed on social media earlier this year that she had planned a dinner for her husband and his team.
Rory McIlroy and Erica StollRory McIlroy is often seen with his wife of eight years, Erica Stoll, on the world's greens and fairways. The pair first crossed paths at the 2012 Ryder Cup when Stoll was working as a PGA office manager and manager of championship volunteer operations, but they didn't start their romantic journey until 2014.

Their relationship has seen its fair share of ups and downs over the years. In May 2024, McIlroy filed for divorce from Stoll, but the couple managed to reconcile their differences and called off the separation just weeks later.
Since then, Stoll and McIlroy have been spotted together at numerous PGA Tour events and major championships, with Stoll notably by his side during his Career Grand Slam win at Augusta National earlier this year. Armed with qualifications in finance and broadcast journalism from Pennsylvania State University, Gaal presently serves as a regional marketing manager covering the south-eastern United States, though she has previously been employed in data protection and management roles.
Tommy Fleetwood has been wed to Clare Craig since 2017, though their romance nearly failed to materialise. The pair initially grew close when Fleetwood transferred to Hambric for representation in 2015, with Clare subsequently becoming his manager.
Whilst Fleetwood attempted to court Clare "a few times", she initially rebuffed his advances given she is 23 years his senior. Speaking on the Performance People podcast she revealed: "Of course, I turned him down. I was like, 'Don't be stupid.'"
Nevertheless, the duo eventually began courting one another and found themselves engaged and wed in 2017. Clare continues to serve as Fleetwood's manager, with the 34-year-old claiming his maiden PGA Tour victory earlier this year at the TOUR Championship in August.
