A Strictly Come Dancing star has opened up on how "tough" the BBC dance competition can be. Former Love Island star Amber Davies admitted that the show left her tearful as she went through a range of emotions.
Posting to Instagram, the 29-year-old shared a heartfelt message with fans as she wrote: "I really didn't know how tough Strictly was going to be, especially emotionally, if you're an empath like me you know we feel everything at a 100% capacity. Happy tears, sad tears, nervous tears, belly laughing tears... it's all part of this journey. I'm really pushing myself to all my limits every week to prove to myself I am capable but mostly to make Nikita proud, the work he puts into each week is on another level. Of course imposter syndrome and self doubt can really take over at times BUT WE ARE HALF WAY THROUGH THIS INCREDIBLE COMPETITION NOW and I'm going to try and quit those horrible noises in my mind and just GO FOR IT!"
The emotional update comes after Amber was left in floods of tears on Sunday's results show.
This week, after narrowly escaping the dance-off as they were a part of the bottom four, Amber and Nikita Kuzmin spoke to Claudia Winkleman.
She teared up and became emotional as she shared that she feared she had let her professional dance partner down, to which he replied, saying that is something she "would never do".
A last-minute replacement for Dani Dyer, Amber had rocketed up among the favourites to win the show initially. However, after a few weeks where she hasn't seemed to perform as well in the results shows, her odds are now plummeting.
Amber and Nikita swept into the Viennese Waltz to I See Red by Everybody Loves an Outlaw with a story to tell - that of Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf, landing them a score of 35 and putting them joint third on the leaderboard.
Despite a spectacular performance, Amber's odds to being an overall winner have dipped to just 28/1. She is also fourth favourite to be eliminated next week, with odds of 12/1, according to Sportscasting.
