An Indian man was arrested in Bangkok for threatening people by making loud noises and pointing a gun shaped lighter.
The incident occurred on Monday in the evening in front of the Novotel Bangkok hotel in Siam Square Soi 6, Pathum Wan district, Bangkok Post reported.
According to the police, the man identified himself as 41-year-old Sahil Ram Thadani.
Police and security personnel quickly arrived at the scene to intervene. Despite repeated warnings, the man reportedly refused to comply and allegedly threatened officers with the object, which was later identified as a cigarette lighter.
He was taken to Pathum Wan police station and charged with threatening behaviour and causing a public disturbance. Authorities believe his actions may have been influenced by hallucinations from cannabis consumption.
A police report further revealed that he was formerly a director of three companies in India, all of which have since ceased operations, according to Bangkok Post.
